87 – Voyager (Outlander #3) by Diana Gabaldon

I feel like it’s taken me forever to read this book.  I seriously love the Outlander series.  I’m so wrapped up in the world that Gabaldon has created, but real life just got in the way with this book.  I started it on vacation and got a good chunk in…and then we got home from vacation and there was just so much going on that it took me a few more weeks to finish it.  That’s just unheard of for me.  But anyway…here’s the Goodreads summary for this book…

“Their passionate encounter happened long ago by whatever measurement Claire Randall took. Two decades before, she had traveled back in time and into the arms of a gallant eighteenth-century Scot named Jamie Fraser. Then she returned to her own century to bear his child, believing him dead in the tragic battle of Culloden. Yet his memory has never lessened its hold on her…and her body still cries out for him in her dreams.

Then Claire discovers that Jamie survived. Torn between returning to him and staying with their daughter in her own era, Claire must choose her destiny. And as time and space come full circle, she must find the courage to face the passion and pain awaiting her…the deadly intrigues raging in a divided Scotland… and the daring voyage into the dark unknown that can reunite—or forever doom—her timeless love.”

Another wonderful book in the Outlander series.

I love Jamie and Claire. I love their chemistry. I love how they bicker. I love their love for each other.

I don’t want to give anything away because there’s some great stuff that happens in this book.  But I will say…I’m so excited to see where Diana Gabaldon takes the series in the next book seeing as this book ended in such a great place!

::sigh::  I love this series.
