102 – Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

I told you I’d finish this book quickly and get a review up!  I just couldn’t put this book down yesterday when I got home from work.  It totally sucked me in!  This is #2 in the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning.  My review of the first book is right below this one.  Here’s the Goodreads summary of this book.

“I used to be your average, everyday girl but all that changed one night in Dublin when I saw my first Fae, and got dragged into a world of deadly immortals and ancient secrets. . . .
In her fight to stay alive, MacKayla must find the Sinsar Dubh—a million-year-old book of the blackest magic imaginable, which holds the key to power over the worlds of both the Fae and Man. Pursued by assassins, surrounded by mysterious figures she knows she can’t trust, Mac finds herself torn between two deadly and powerful men: V’lane, the immortal Fae Prince, and Jericho Barrons, a man as irresistible as he is dangerous.

For centuries the shadowy realm of the Fae has coexisted with that of humans. Now the walls between the two are coming down, and Mac is the only thing that stands between them.”

Real Rating: 4.5 stars

I LOVED this book! I couldn’t put it down! I love where the author is taking the story. I love the new characters/villains she’s brought into the story. I also really like seeing how Mac has grown and changed in this book. It’s nice to see her having grown up and realized that she’s not as weak as she thought she was.

I love Barrons! I’m so excited to learn more about him and find out who/what he really is. I loved how he described himself at the end of the book!

For real…LOVED this book and need to buy the next one in the series!
I already bought Faefever, the next in the series, and plan to start it after work this evening.  This series is so good!
