This book was recommended to me by my book club. I’d heard wonderful things about it and ended up receiving it as a gift. I’m so glad I decided to pull it off of my to-read book pile. Here’s the Goodreads summary.
“In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, Mia’s story will stay with you for a long, long time.”
Wow. Just wow.
Seeing as I finished this in just a few hours, you can see how taken I was by the story.
It’s heart-breaking and emotional, but so beautiful, too. The love exemplified in this story moved me.
For as emotional as this book was, I only got teary a few times. (I was happy about this since I didn’t want to spend the afternoon crying.)
